When it comes to the art of applying cosmetics, foundation makeup is the area where most people make major mistakes. They either choose the wrong color, ending up with skin that appears too light or too dark, or they don’t apply it correctly and end up with an unblended mess. Choosing foundation color and learning to apply it properly can be a challenge but once you know the basics, you’ll have flawless looking skin for life!

Choosing Foundation Makeup Type And Color
If you are completely new to the idea of choosing the right color of foundation, it may be best to make a quick trip to the department store and visit a Clinique counter or other cosmetic counter for help and tips. The experts there can help you choose the right color. Of course, once you understand the process of choosing the color you can always switch to a drugstore brand like Cover Girl and match your color to the department store color chosen for you.

The first step to choosing your own foundation however is to choose not the color but the type of formula you need. There are many different foundation skin products, for all types of face issues. If you have oily skin you may want to go with a cream or powder formula. If you have dry skin or combination skin, a liquid formula might work best. Some people like to add a translucent or opaque mineral powder over their liquid foundation, so keep that in mind while shopping.

In addition to thinking about your skin type, you’ll need to think about the coverage you need and your lifestyle. If you have blotchy skin you might need a formula that offers bold coverage but if you simply want to even out your tone a bit, a lighter coverage formula might work better. If you live a very active and sporty lifestyle, you might even want to consider waterproof or stick foundation.

When you are choosing your color on your own, look for yellow based colors because they look most natural on all people. Be sure to look for a shade that somewhat matches your clean jaw line, neck color or the color on the inside of your wrist. A makeup counter expert can help you with this if you do choose to visit the department store. If you buy at a drugstore, some of them will accept exchanges on makeup. So, keep in mind if you don’t get the right color the first time you might be able to exchange it for another color.

Applying The Foundation Makeup
When you get your foundation home, sit near a window and try the color on your jawline to be sure it is correct. It should blend in naturally to your skin’s color and your neck color.

Once you’re sure the color is perfect, start by dotting the foundation on your forehead, nose, each cheek and chin. Then using a sponge, blend the dots together until your face is covered. You can choose to do total face coverage in this manner or you can also choose to simply apply the foundation where you need the coverage the most. Either way, the key to getting a natural look is to blend it well. Be sure to blend it completely, leaving no streaks or unnatural looking areas.

Choosing and applying foundation makeup can be difficult but to get the best makeup look possibly, it’s important to take the time to learn how to do it properly!

As we know it can be difficult to find the right foundation so I hope this post helps.Once again thanks for stopping by please leave a comment and tell me what foundation you use catch up soon see ya

BLOND OR  BRONDE !!!! Brunettes Go “Bronde” to Lighten Up This Summer!!!!

Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lopez and Natalie Portman are all recent bronde converts. If its good for them sure hell it must be good for you too right?.

A perfect hybrid of blonde and brown, bronde is the newest — and most natural — look for dark-haired beauties who want to share in the sun-kissed summer fun, and look a few years younger while they’re at it.

Natalie Portman, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jennifer Lopez and most recently Miley Cyrus, have been spotted with this lighter bronde hue — a term that’s become popular in the last few years to personify that not-quite-blonde, not-quite-brunette tone that “Glamour” first reported in November 2007 in response to the economic downturn, while at the same time brilliantly describing supermodel Gisele Bundchen’s much-coveted hair hue.

“Women who might normally lighten their hair all over are going for a darker base shade with more highlights, so what you get is something that’s part blond, part brown, or “brond,” said Beth Shapouri in a recap of the article on “Glamour’s” Girls in the Beauty Department blog. But this summer, it’s the other way around; rather than blondes trying to save cash, the bronde trend is now being driven by brunettes in search of a flattering summer shade that can shave years off your look.

Gisele Bundchen is the quintessential bronde.

“Women are always asking me, ‘What makes me look younger?’”, celebrity colorist and “Sheer Genius” judge, Kim Vo told StyleList. Blonde hair dye mixed with a flattering tint of brown gives brunettes what he thinks is the most versatile color, regardless of age.Because Vo says women have become “blonderexic” — a Vo-ism that describes someone who has too much blonde for their own good — he says this warmer hue works better with our darker, natural coloring. It also helps us avoid the number one mistake that brunettes make: orange highlights. “Highlights like that remind me of tiger strips,” Vo says. The key is to lighten the locks more subtly by painting select layers on top of the hair with two different volumes of color lifting creams. This ultimately gives darker hair more depth and dimension without looking like you’re trying to be the blonde you’re not. Its warmer highlights are also the most forgiving according to Vo because they work on all skin types and hair textures.

“I was inspired by memories of my childhood on the beaches in France,” says Vo who believes this look is as casual and natural as you want it to be.Once colored, Vo recommends protecting your locks with a glaze. “It seals in color, adds a diamond-like radiance and shine and creates the perfect ‘date night’ hair. It’s one of my favorite products!” Just like blonde is now one of his favorite colors.

“If blonde and brunette had a love child, it would be bronde,” Vo adds. “It’s the way to go!”

Aside from this new color option, see another reason why it’s great to be a brunette!please leave a comment Chow !!!!

Serums are a good complement to creams. They go on easily, you can put them on the whole face and neck including the eye area, they dry easily and don’t look greasy. You can use them under a day cream and they can be an important part of your anti-ageing routine, because they can deliver antioxidants, retinoids, peptides and vitamin C and its derivatives more efficiently than some creams.

The  Naturopath (Susan Curtis)A serum is a concentrated formulation that usually contains antioxidants to redress oxidative stress caused by pollution and sun, peptides to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, and humectants to help prevent water loss. This can be achieved with plant-based ingredients, such as the skin-firming essential oils frankincense and myrrh, herbal extracts like antioxidant-rich white tea or turmeric, and regenerating phyto-nutrients like rosehip-seed oil.

WOMEN could be plagued by pimples at any point in their lives. While it is the norm when one is in high school where (almost) everyone had zits, things get a little complicated when you are a career woman who has a major presentation and suddenly you get the mother of all pimples right smack on your nose or any other part on your face. Not so great for your confidence! The good thing about getting pimples when you are older and out in the working world is that now you have the permission to use makeup as well as the money to buy it. Concealing a zit is actually no easy task. If you do it wrongly, odds are you might draw more attention to it. The Malay Mail walks you through some steps to cover up that angry pimple.

1) Invest in a good concealer that is a perfect match for your skin tone. This is best bought under the expertise of consultants who work at cosmetic counters. Don’t be afraid to try as many as you want to achieve the perfect colour.
