There’s hope for us all. If the gorgeous Kylie relies on nothing more sinister than Pond’s Cold Cream Cleanser to keep her complexion glowing, might some of its magic rub off on us? “It’s all I really use to look after my skin,” Ms Minogue has said. “It has made such a difference.” At £3.99 a pot, it’s an indulgence we can all afford. So what are the other hot beauty bargains? Superdrugs Vitamin E cream with SPF15 (£2.99/125ml) Brilliant facial moisturiser that’s easily absorbed, non-greasy, works on most skin types and has SPF15. Lacura Multi-Intensive Serum (£3.49/30ml, Aldi) Just moisturisers and basic anti-oxidants but women rated it above 2,000 other products in a major testing. To read more click here: Evening standards.
It is so nice when a celebrity is really truthful and open about what products they use and were they get it from don’t you think?.I know that some of them buy products from the same store as us? but it is great to see a list of stuff written out like this hey!!!.I use one item out of Kylie’s favourite Creams and that is the Dove Pro-age beauty body lotion,it is truly amazing it really moisturises your skin its thick and creamy, I adore the smell .I get mine from Wilkinson’s as little as 2.99 .Any way tell me what you think do you use any of Kylie’s creams. If so which ones is it good or bad what are your thoughts.Chow !!!! leave a comment.

The coalition government’s plans for the coming five years could make good reading for natural beauty enthusiasts. Among the discussions of public deficit and pension entitlements, the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats have also set out an aim to ban animal testing entirely.”We will end the testing of household products on animals and work to reduce the use of animals in scientific research,” the document reads.
The commitment to promoting natural beauty production techniques is just one of the aims set out in the 36-page document, The Coalition: our programme for government. In the foreword to the policy document, which has been thrashed out in the weeks since the general election on May 6th, prime minister David Cameron and his deputy Nick Clegg speak of the “historic” nature of the latest parliamentary session. They note that their document is the first collaboration of its kind between two major political parties for more than 50 years.
News that I thought may be of interest to you hope you found it interesting.Don’t worry I am not getting political .Just thought it would be good news to read.

Getting married? Then follow our top tips to help you achieve flawless beauty on your wedding day, honeymoon and beyond…They say that getting married is more stressful than buying a house AND having children. What with hen parties, dress fittings, rehearsal dinners and interfering relatives, preparing for your wedding day can feel like a non-stop merry-go-round.
1) Nobble those niggles
If you have any niggling problems that have been bothering you for a while – Problem skin, discoloured teeth, excess weight – start tackling them at least six months before the wedding. A quick trip to your doctor or dentist could give you the solution you need to feel confident on your wedding day and on into your married life.
2) Don’t crash diet
Crash dieting may help you to lose weight in the short term, but it can also raise your stress levels and wreak havoc with your skin. You’re better off adopting a more moderate approach, eating plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, drinking eight large glasses of water a day and cutting down on alcohol and cigarettes. This will help you to lose weight as well as promoting a healthy, glowing complexion and giving your hair extra shine. Plus it’ll boost your energy levels so you’ll be better equipped to tackle the rest of the wedding planning.
3) Get exercising
20 minutes’ exercise at least three times a week will help you to lose weight and tone you up as well as improving your circulation, leaving you with clearer, more youthful-looking skin. It’s great for reducing stress levels too. Try yoga for an extra dose of suppleness and serenity.
4) Look after your skin
If you don’t already, start cleansing, toning and moisturising every morning and night for at least six months before the wedding. To give your skin that extra glow, go for a professional facial once a month in the run-up to the wedding. But make sure you have your last facial no later than one week before the wedding so that any blotchiness has subsided.
5) De-fuzz – forever
For silky-smooth hair-free skin on your wedding day, your honeymoon and beyond, invest in the revolutionary new Philips Lumea (£399 from Boots, Argos and Amazon).
This ingenious handheld, cordless device can be used at home and uses Intense Pulsed Light technology to target hair at the follicle, causing it to shed and, with repeated use, stop growing back altogether. It’s quick, safe and easy to use and is the best way to ensure that you won’t have to worry about stubble, dark shadows or ingrown hairs on your wedding day or, more importantly, on your wedding night.
6) Treat your hands and feet
All eyes will be on your hands when it comes to the exchanging of the rings, so don’t forget look after them (or your feet for when you kick off your heels at the reception later). Go for a manicure and pedicure every few weeks for about six months before the wedding and remember to moisturise at least every morning and night when you’re at home. Better still, keep your favourite hand cream in your desk at work and top up whenever your hands start to feel dry.
7) Find the right hair dresser
Your hair style can affect the way people perceive you whole wedding outfit – no matter how expensive your dress – so it’s important to find a hair dresser you trust. Visit the salon a few weeks before the wedding to discuss style options. To play it extra safe, make sure you have a practice styling session to avoid any unforeseen hair horrors on the day.
Choose your make-up wisely
There’s nothing wrong with being a blushing bride… as long as it’s not because you’re wearing more blusher than Siouxie Sioux. If you’re hiring a make-up artist, make sure you discuss exactly the sort of look you are aiming for well before the wedding, and book in a practice session. If you’re doing your own make-up, remember that less is more if you want to achieve a classic, dewy bridal look.
9) Get some sleep
There may be a lot of planning to fit in before the big day, but making sure you get at least eight hours of sleep every night will banish dark circles and eye bags and do wonders for the rest of your skin. It will boost your energy levels and decrease your stress levels too.
10) Be prepared
Make sure that your chief bridesmaid is carrying an SOS kit on the day of the wedding, including powder and lipstick top-ups for photo shoots and plenty of tissues for those weepier moments. But your bridal beauty regime does not have to be one of your worries. In fact, getting married is the ultimate excuse to indulge in a little personal pampering.

TREATMENT OF THE SEASON
“As far as I’m concerned (Says Becky ) the new Elmis Modern Skin Facial takes some beating. It’s been designed to deal with today’s `modern’ skin problems which include high levels of stress, lack of quality sleep, lack of water, on-the-go-fast food, long hours on a computer and dehydrating heating and aircon. These problems cause unpredictable fluctions in skin conditions, dryness, oily skin that overproduces sebum to try and stimulate moisture, high colour, expression lines that won’t go away and a lack lustre, shallow appearance. The facial layers powerful anti-oxidants, vitamins and multi-minerals to rebalance the skin’s micro-flora and pH level, whist encouraging cell regeneration. The results reveal a clearer, radiant and more balanced skin.”
The facial, for men and women, lasts one hour and costs £46. Until the end of June you can try it with a half-hour neck, back and shoulder massage – so it lasts one-and-a-half hours – for £51.Chance to try it out for free One lucky Courier reader is going to get the opportunity to try out the facial for free and then write about the treatment for the paper. We want to hear why you you need it. Send your letters to Diane Crabtree, Halifax Courier, King Cross, Street, Halifax, HX1 2SF. Please include a daytime telephone number. The closing date is Monday, May 24. Usual Courier rules apply.

FACIAL EXFOLIATION
“It’s also important to exfoliate the skin on your face,” says Becky. “Skin naturally renews itself every 28 days, however as we age our skin cells become damaged by free radical attack so this process will not work efficiently, leaving a build up of dead skin cells that can make skin look dull and lifeless. Exfoliating can help this. It’s also important not to over exfoliate your skin as you don’t want to take away healthy skin cells.”
